Eight SSF foals born so far

Eight SSF foals born over the past months, both in the USA and in the Netherlands. An update:

Galearites SSF (Totilas x Jazz) blessed us with a beautiful filly Uphorites SSF by Premier SSF on the 23rd of March, in the middle of a snow storm. After a bit of a rough start for both of them, they’re now doing very well.
The 12th of April was a busy day at SSF/NL! Two new babies. Uche SSF by Straight Horse Leonardo out of Hyacintia by Charmeur x Santano and Udodona SSF by Straight Horse Leonardo out of Florida- Dodona by Ultimo x Rosenkavalier. Year of the chestnuts for us. First three babies are all chestnuts. Uche is out of our NMK keur elite mare, Hyacintia, from the famous Charites line. Udodona is out of the keur elite Florida-Dodona, from the #1 German dressage line, the Dodona line, which has produced multiple GP horses. Excited to have another top colt from Hyacintia and really excited to have such a flashy filly from the Dodona line to add to our program. Thanks to Klaas Buist and his team for doing such a good job managing our horses in the Netherlands. Makes foal watch ever so much easier when someone else is doing it!

For those of you who don’t know him, this is Straight Horse Leonardo. I saw him at the Helgstrand Dressage open house in Denmark last year. He was my favorite. So supple. So sane. Beautiful type. I know we have the first SH Leonardo offspring in the NL–I don’t know if they are the first overall. He only became available for semen the day we needed it. He is out of a top Danish damline, same line as Zonik.

Then Ubiquites SSF was born the 17th of April. By Premier SSF out of D’Orites SSF (Donatelli I x Jazz). Super type. Can’t wait to see her move. This is a half sister to multiple top horses. Another fancy chestnut filly out of the Charites line. Think Primo is going to stamp his foals? Ubiquites and Uphorites are two of our best babies ever. I’ve always wanted to have a stallion that no one else gets to breed to but us…I know that’s selfish, but this may be the stallion. Seriously thinking about it.
Surprise on the morning of the 19th of April: 200 on milk test and not a full udder the night before, but the chestnut filly streak is broken by this black filly who showed up on the camera at 6 am… Ubibi SSF by LeFormidable out of Habib by DeNiro x Welcome.
Born on the 19th of April also, but in the Netherlands: Usher SSF by Obsession Taonga out of Matthiola by Franklin x Santano. Of course, I haven’t seen him, but looks like a lovely, long-lined colt. Thanks to Klaas Buist and team for managing our horses in the Netherlands.
And… then we are back in the chestnut* filly zone! This is a daughter of two-time world champion and now Grand Prix horse, D’Avie—out of our Shetland pony mare, Kalliope SSF, by World Champion Shetland driving pony, Michigan’s Heir to the Throne. Born the 30th of April. Such an elegant, delicate girl! Ufauna SSF. Red bag delivery, so thank goodness I was on the scene. Congrats to Farmer Morelli. This is his first frozen semen breeding on his own. *correction. I think we may have a red dun!
On the 9th of May we welcomed Ucello SSF by Floris SSF out of Emaldine by Atleet x Manno. Ten days late to the party, but worth the wait. Really long lined, big, Gelders colt. Congratulations to Rebecca Campagna!
