The Humans of SSF

My parents used to tell me my first word was “horse”. All I know is I’ve been obsessed with horses for as long as I can remember.  Shooting Star Farm is literally a dream come true for me. Having my family so involved and supportive makes my world pretty complete. I’m a lucky man to have so much love and such incredible horses in my life.

When I met Scot, he owned one horse. Just one. Then, it became two… and now…. when we stop to count, we can’t figure it out! Marrying into this lifestyle was certainly a commitment, one filled with love, hard work, muck and mud, and the occasional heartbreak. I would not trade one minute of it. Well… maybe that time Iroko picked me up by his teeth. That. I’d change that.

I am very proud to have grown up in the SSF breeding program. Sorry to my kindergarten class to whom I tried to explain the whole collection and insemination process… but you were going to find out sooner or later.

I consider myself lucky to be a part of this incredible breeding program, and to be surrounded by the people who created it. Dime con quién andas, y te diré quién eres.

Who knows, maybe I won’t even like horses 😀
