FOAL REPORT

Offspring 1986: Zeoliet's foals are royally developed. On the whole the foals have more than enough type, even though the picked foals have less type than the selected foals. The selected foals also have more refinement and quality, while the picked foals have a sturdier base. The heads are a bit long in general, and the eye should be a bit larger in order to make the head more expressive. The necks are good through the topline, but often set a bit deep. They are carried well while moving. The wither has good length. In the group of picked foals the shoulder should be a bit longer, the selected foals have a good shoulder though it could use a tad more slope. The back is often a bit deep, which pushes the loin away a bit, however the topline is well muscled. The croup has good shape and length. The foreleg is sometimes a little tight but has a well and generously developed knee. The foreleg also has a good stance. The hindleg is long and angled, but has a good wide gaskin. And a well formed, long, wide hock. The walk is good with adequate length and impulsion. Event though it varies a little, the whole collection of foals has more than adequate movement. In some cases the hindleg should be brought underneath a bit more and in some cases the stride could have been a bit longer. However, there were also some foals that had excellent movement, showing a great deal of balance, length of stride and regularity. All foals were appealing and liked being shown. In short: royally developed, having more than enough type with a well-developed base. The movement is more than adequate to very good. Shown 53 foals out of 250 breedings.
